Hello to all. Thank you for the invitation. I am a Finnish amateur photographer. Mostly I take photographs of nature, but in general, my camera goes wherever I go. I wish you all a nice summer :-)

  4. Mika Pulkkinen  have a question, if you don't mind. We have had this b&w vs color discussion before in the community. People shoot monochrome for different reasons. what are yours?

  5. Yes, please feel free to comment. We allow everyone to have their own opinion on this, and any pictures. No "right or wrong" every fought counts. We may comment, but always let people speak their mind and heart.  :-)

  6. I really don't have one answer about it :-) 85 % of my images are color images. I love colors. But when I want a bit more drama factor or  more simplicity I choose B&W. For example This field is fine in color, but because of those shadows, I chose B&W. It is really difficult to give you exact answer...  When I go through my photos I can say instantly which pictures I am going to change for B&W...usually  ;-)
And Of course many times when you change colour to monochrome you see the result and say, No way :-))

  8. A very well thought out response. I would agree, for myself, some just say it. Others surprise you by being good when you don't expect, or fall far short of expectations. But, this is an art form, and that's the way it goes.  :-)
