Eiffel l Tower is completely gated and there is a huge line up to pass almost airport security like gates just to go close to It. Sad but it needs to be like that. Can you blame the city? I still captured amazing shots just with my cell phone and my infrared camera. Few teasers. Voila

Turkish Steps... A surreal place in Sicily. Shot as I was hiking on it with my other camera... A moment captured... After I did the shot I runned after her. I showed the shot in my camera. She was a group of young Chinese tourists. They all wanted to get photographed. I told them no time. I made her sign the digital model release. I now will send her a signed print.

There was an era in photography that we used to take a color slide film, then process it in negative film chemicals and call it Cross Process. I come from that era as a photographer. The results were highly contrasty negatives. Fuji Velvia created bizarre blueish contrasty shots. Agfa slides were warmer tones yet still contrasty shots. I digged into my old negatives this morning. Year was 2001. October. In studio with an old friend of mine. I body painted her skin. And shot with Agfa slide and cros processed it. Voila scanned 16 years later. Then turned into a toned B&W shot.

I wish I had met Gaudi in my life time.

I wish I had met Gaudi in my life time. I wish I had the opportunity to get to know the crazy genius behind his monuments. He created these stuff 100 years ago. Mind blowing. He was as practical as technically advanced and as off beat as a designer/artiste I feel sometimes. visiting his creations was the highlight of my Barcelona trip.

I love the dreamy feel of infared photography.

I love the dreamy feel of infared photography. Everything green turns into white, sky becomes dramatic where the blue becomes darker against puffy clouds. Hopewell Rocks from last summer's trip towards PEI.

Alan Hustak had an illustrious career as a Canadian journalist on TV and at newspapers. Among them CBC, CTV and Montreal Gazette. Although he is now retired, he is still very active as an author behind many books. I had the privilege having him in front of my camera last Sunday. We shared a glass of wine as I edited few shots. www.herabell.com
