Streets of San Francisco: The Palace Hotel at the Corner of Market and New Montgomery Streets (September 2017) This is one of the old historic landmark Hotels in San Francisco. The Palace Hotel was destroyed by the earthquake in 1906 and completely new constructed and opened up in 1909. The famous opera singer Caruso stayed at the Palace at the night of the earthquake. As a result of the quake experience he swore never ever to return to San Francisco again.
