Four stages The coastal banksia (Banksia integrifolia) is a hardy native often used to stabilise dunes across the East coast of Australia. It was first discovered by the English botanist Sir Joseph Banks in 1770, but had been used as a sweet treat by indigenous Australians for many thousands of years beforehand. Its Autumnal and Winter flowering is very important to local bee populations. I like to think that the open follicles look like singing mouths.

Status of Sony Group Manufacturing Operations Affected by 2016 Kumamoto Earthquakes (Third Update) Due to the earthquake of April 14, 2016 and subsequent earthquakes in the Kumamoto region, operations at Sony Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation’s Kumamoto Technology Center (located in Kikuchi Gun, Kumamoto Prefecture), which is the primary manufacturing site of image sensors for digital cameras and security cameras as well as micro-display devices, were halted and currently remain suspended. With aftershocks continuing and employee safety the foremost priority, inspections of the facility and the development of a recovery plan remain ongoing. The current status of operations for the Kumamoto Technology Center is as follows: Damage to the building itself has been confirmed to be primarily to the upper layer of the building, and reinforcement work will be carried out in this ar

I can see a series developing ;) In a week's time I will be complaining about wrist pain at Swartkops airshow validation day!! Fuji doesn't have a loaner 100-400 available so it seems that I would need to spend some quality time with my trusty old canon manual to figure out how it works :))

Ploubazlanec est une commune au Nord Ouest de La Baie de Saint Brieuc ,situé au delà de Paimpol . Ce jour là j'ai visité le " Mur des Disparus "  Le Mur est long de 100 ms et haut de 2,50 ms Les panneaux apposés sur le mur forment un ensemble culturel en souvenir des  " Disparus en Mer "  27 plaques . La liste est impressionnante .102 Goélettes furent perdues  de 1852 à 1935 en Mer d'Islande et à Terre neuve , ce qui porte le nombre de pertes humaines à 2000 pêcheurs de morue . On retrouve d'autres " Mémoires " dans d'autres cimetières des Côtes d'Armor et d'Islande

Success! Decatur AL citizens preserved this landmark Southern Railway station by turning it into a combination museum/police station this year. Google Street View passed it by in 2013 before renovation. Before it was made pretty again with new paint, the old coats' weathering left a multitude of interesting colors. So of course, I could not resist the temptation to experiment with Picasa and framing and...your patience.
