Dilettante Photography: Retrospective

Shard of ice I took this photo while skiing near Gstaad, Switzerland in February; it was a great trip and I really enjoyed the skiing! I haven't posted enough recently, so I hope you like it everyone!

All of the entries into this contest were excellent, and it really is credit to this community that we can have such a high quality contest as we do every week. Judging was very difficult for me, and there were several photos that came very close to a winning place. Well done, and thank you for the pleasure of being a member of this community!

Torch of the Night This is my first shot at night photography; I hope you like it! I would appreciate any advice on how to improve at this technique.

Tired I took this shot of my cat ready for a nap in my home a couple of weeks ago. She'd been out for most of the day, and looked very tired!

Afternoon Swim This duck was out for a swim in the lake at the nature reserve in Beckford, England.

"Syphon" This old sign is in my village, it says: Cheltenham & District Gas Co. "SYPHON".

All stacked up The field in this photo is near my village so I often walk past it; which means I can take lots of photos of it!

The Dartboard #fivedayblackandwhitechallenge - POST #4/5 Thanks for challenging me Al Rau   I would like to challenge Jonathan FAA  to try this.   Here are the rules: 1. Post a black and white image every day for 5 days. 2. Use the #fivedayblackandwhitechallenge  hashtag. 3. Each day challenge someone else to participate.  I noticed my old dartboard collecting dust and I decided that I would bring it back to life in a photo. This was a birthday present from my parents when I was younger, I must get some new darts and start using it again!
