Turkish Steps... A surreal place in Sicily. Shot as I was hiking on it with my other camera... A moment captured... After I did the shot I runned after her. I showed the shot in my camera. She was a group of young Chinese tourists. They all wanted to get photographed. I told them no time. I made her sign the digital model release. I now will send her a signed print.

Enjoy your week 🔆 best greetings #mobilephotography ►Rapperswil, Switzerland, Lake Zurichsee The town's main sights are concentrated in the Altstadt of Rapperswil and can be seen while strolling through the medieval alleys. The main sights of Rapperswil are its rose gardens, Rapperswil Castle, the reconstructed wooden bridge to Hurden with its bridge chapel Heilig Hüsli located at Seedamm, the Kapuzinerkloster (Capuchin's monastery), the remains of the Middle Ages fortifications located on Lake Zürich, Lindenhof hill, Herrenberg, Engelplatz, Hauptplatz, Bühlerallee and Fischmarktplatz at Rapperswil harbour. Rapperswil is often referred to as the "town of roses" (Rosenstadt) because of its extensive displays of roses in three designated parks. No less than 15,000 plants of 600 different kinds may be viewed between June and October. There is also a rose garden in the town center, accessible to blind and disabled people.

One more thing...

One more thing... it has been a while since our last challenge.... The contest formats we used in past were not ideal: people lost interest. If you are up for a new game, we can create something fresh and new. I'm looking for new ideas. Please advise.

Hello Everyone.

Hello Everyone. I just spent an HOUR going through some pending requests to join our community.... I rejected most of them with just a few exceptions. The problem is: there is still a long list of the requests queued up.... May I ask moderators to spent 10-15 minutes if possible to sort out potential members.... I guess our goal is to filter out the spammers.... I followed example of Pauli PPariah , quickly checking profiles of the candidates and equally quickly rejecting all those, who did not show a slightest interest in photography. Most of the profiles have not content anyways. Of course, there is a risk of rejecting somebody with a genuine interest in photography.... I'm not sure what is the best way to deal with this situation. Please advise. Regards, Mike M

La porte de l'Enfer ,inaugurated in June 1st 2001

La porte de l'Enfer ,inaugurated in June 1st 2001 It has been created by the French artist François Dallegret . It's a huge illuminated door which lightens the remains of Trélazé slates quarries . This door is situated at a precise place called " l'Enfer " .It's to show you arrive in Trélazé . The door : they are two identical structures sending 300ms beams of light and luminous arrows at the same time ( I didn't take time to go at night ! another time !)

Took this the other day.

Took this the other day. Oak tree was a lot smaller when I was a kid. Putting in a flower garden near it to try and help with the flooding in that area.

Food, glorious food (with apologies to the cast of Oliver ) Using a 1:1 infinity focussing macro lens for general street shots helps you rethink your photography.

Wasn't out for long today; yet, when I went out to clean up the pole barn my cousin called me over to look at this little flower that sprouted up in the middle of the back yard. Two little buds with one still closed and this one opened up as wide as it could get to grab a little mid-day sunshine. Not the clearest shot; yet, it was really tiny and close to the ground. I didn't think to check out if the camera on the phone could be set up for macro shots. It does have a connection for lenses.
