The winners from the 2-weeks Water challenge. It was hard to pick 3 winners out of the 47!! submissions... Remember this is only my personal choice, based on 1) subject 2) composition 3) creativity I saw a lot of beautiful pictures passed by, great and awesome land(water)scapes, beautiful reflections, and so much more. My choice however is fallen on those which clearly show water as a subject, instead of reflections and or landscapes how beautiful (I must admit!) they are. Wat een leuke verrassing! Jaren geleden had ik een weelderige passie bloem welke opeens verdwenen was...nu plotseling verschijnt het weer in mijn tuin. Zomaar...  midden in een pol siergras diep verscholen tussen de rietstengels. Een van de wondertjes der natuur vermoed ik zo :)) #passionflora   #passiebloem

#red   Eindhoven Glow 2010 An annual festival of light art in the Netherlands' Eindhoven Wiki: The GLOW is a festival in the Dutch city Eindhoven where artists and designers from home and abroad present light art and design applications by using new media technologies, such as computers, sensors, animations, and also the well-known projection techniques. The GLOW was held for the first time in 2006. The festival is an outdoor exhibition that typical buildings and locations are lighted up with artificial lights. During the festival artworks can be seen in the city and on the banks of the Dommel. Due to the bulb production by Philips in Eindhoven, the city has always had something to do with light. Eindhoven is also known as the city of lights.

Today the results of the shadow theme contest. It was very hard to do !! There are so many great contribution with so many pretty well worked out great ideas. Some pictures with superb light, some almost abstract, and others with a beautiful arrangement. Thank you all for your enthusiastic contributions.   To make it easier for me, I first made a selection of 10. Of those 10, I finally chose the three winners. :)) 1st place:  Kevin Vincent  with the 'shadowed portrait' 2nd place:  Robert Glöckner  with 'light in the dark' 3rd place:  Igor Rybnikov  with the 'lantern' My sincere thanks to all the participants and my congratulations to the winners! All the winning works are placed in our V.S.O.P category. Next week, (tomorrow :))  Debbie Nelson  will take over.

Today is the last day to contribute to the "shadow" contest theme. Tommorow I'll try to make a selection from those beautiful pictures. Oh my...that gonna be a very hard thing to do with all those beautiful contributions... haha   In the mean time....I've not heard anything from the next person in line to take over the duty on Monday 26. I think Askewed View Photographic Arts photos by Keith A. Russell   is busy and occupied with other things then G+ ...and that ok ofcourse! There is also a life beside g+  ;))  So I want to suggest that the third person in line will take over...
