  1. Overall very well done, I like the exposure color contrast great! But, it is too centered I think. Perhaps if you had rotated counter clockwise about 30-45 degrees? It would give the classic "person looking into the frame look. Or the opposite, if you wished to make it more whimsical?

Also, it appears to have just a bit of barrel distortion? Could not tell from the speck, what lens was used, but it I pick nots... This is just enough to hit the subconscious at some level. Well at least for me, anyways.  :-)

  2. In my opinion the composition is fine. I like the way you included the street in the image as well as the items, displayed at the shop. I have to agree with the "barrel distortion" though but it does not affect the picture too dramatically. Personally - I like the image!

  3. The barrel distortion, hmm. I'm using the Samsung 20mm-50mm f/3.5-22 lens that came with the camera.

Thanks for your comments Oshi Shikigami and Michael Mossiagin

  4. Most all digital lenses have some level of distortion. I see it with all buy my macros, in my Nikon lenses. But, I simply have Lightroom automatically correct for it. This works fine unless they do not have a "Lens Profile" for your lens, or the lens info is not written to the "EXIF" data in the photo.

  5. I'd have to check Oshi Shikigami, I didn't see that there was a correction for my series of lenses in Lightroom.  Perhaps a plugin?

  6. It is a plugin. But it is supposed to be automatic with updates. Can't do any harm to check though. They do not update auto very fast either. I am sure they have a page somewhere you can look to see if your specific lenses are listed.

But, if the camera doesn't write lens info automatically into your EXIF file on the picture, you may need to do it manually.

  7. Askewed View Photographic Arts photos by Keith A. Russell what LR version do you use?

  8. Askewed View Photographic Arts photos by Keith A. Russell I think automatic correction was introduced in LR 5... I am using 5.5. You still should be able to do a manual correction.

  9. Ye,s it all depends on the specific software, often also the specific version. If you are not already set for automatic updates, you have to remember to check by yourself every so often.

  10. I'm just getting acquainted with software myself, I'll have to take a look at it.
