Paris 2018 Editor's note: By the time this image was published in December 2018, Google+ was just months from expiration. The photographer posted his image in Dilettante's "Scaffold" section, requesting criticism, but received none. To see more of his work, visit https://hpchavaz.myportfolio.com / His earlier Scaffold posts drew praise.

The final results of the #portrait contest: This photo took the THIRD place on My Stream collecting 27 plusses! Congratulations to Hera Bell !!! Originally shared by Hera Bell “Montreal's” Portrait Specialist I often pick and choose how I play with shadows on my portraits. I usually have the luxury of controlling my studio light. Here in this scenario, I did not have that luxury. I was shooting behind the scenes during this entire workshop. Only with available light. No real direction control of my subject. Just snapping few shots while I could without disturbing the 2 main shooters that day. Considering all my restrictions, I did put in test what I could come up with. Here is another result from the series. Shot with available light. As you can see at a very sunny day. Seen from my kitchen. Scarlett was sitting at my diningroom table. As composed in the camera. #portrait www.herabell.com

So the #portrait contest has come to its end! 10 photographers took part in it posting 18 images. Many wonderful pictures were presented though I expected more activity from the members of DP community. According to the criteria of the contest I had to make a difficult choice. In my humble opinion the following three photos may continue the competition on my public stream (in alphabetic order): Hera Bell's "Young woman", Pedro Ponce's "Old woman" and Vili Gosnak's "The face". On December 14th they will be arranged according to the amount of "plusses" they'll get from my followers. Many thanks to all the participants! I think meanwhile another contest may be started.
