These shots were taken this morning in Moscow, Russia. It was rainy morning.

  1. Hi Igor Schevchenko ! First of all, thank you for posting to the proper category! I carefully looked at both versions: the first seems much more natural but I think the ambient light was a little too soft to show the best of the flower's colors. The second - on the other hand - looks like a post card: crisp and clear but a little bit over processed - in my personal opinion, although it is matter of a personal taste as this sort of processing is quite typical for landscape photography. The subject isolation is very nice in both cases. I wonder what a flash usage could do to this scene? I think a properly directed ray of light could lit up the drops on the flower but - of course - I'm just speculating here... Overall both pictures are very well made and I like them both.

  2. Michael Mossiagin Thanks a lot for your lovely feedback, Michael, I appreciate it so much! Yes, the second is a bit overprocessed, that was the reason why I asked my question, I myself perefer more natural looking flowers. This shot (original) was taken in the rainy morning and dim light from the cloudy sky, no other light sources were used, so the  drops are naturally lit. Have a wonderful Tuesday, my friend, and thanks again for taking time to write the review, it means a lot to me!
