Container Liner Heading for Shanghai (Hamburg, May 2012)

The Hanjin Asia is a 366m long container vessel with a capacity of about 13,000 TEU and an engine power of 68,800 KW (around 93,600 PS). Port of registration is Douglas on the Isle Of Man (UK). Owner is Hanjin Shipping, a large liner agent ("Reederei"), based in South Korea. Rotation of the ship is from Hamburg to Shanghai which takes 77 days. This line is operated by Hanjin Shipping on a weekly basis using a total of 12 ships of the same type.
What's interesting to know about the company is that in 1997 they bought Senator Lines, a German container shipping company based in Bremen, which they liquidated in 2009.
