Interesting how you see his reflection on the phone, and not hers? As best I could, I laid it out in 3D (in my mind), and yes, it does work. Just counterintuitive for me at first glance. :-) Fun puzzle :-)
Oshi Shikigami The phenomena can be understood if we should refer to the reflection of light. Beams of light from his face are reaching the surface of her tablet under a certain angle and then they are reflected under the exact same angle to our eyes and we can see him, and not her, from this direction. I understood that you figure out that all alone and that is really beautiful, because it takes a teacher in physics to explain that. Did I mention that, among my other ''sins'', I'm a teacher in physics, too? :-)
Oshi Shikigami Yes, but the beautiful thing here is that you understood what happened before I explained that; you have a very scientific intuition, together with your deep artistic roots. That reminds me the Renaissance art people, who where great science persons, too.

ReplyDelete"Angle of incidence, equals angle of reflectance, with a planner surface". :-)
ReplyDeleteAll I had to do was look at it from "above". LOL

ReplyDeleteLOL, while everyone in my generation was trying to figure out if they were "left brained", or they were "right brained"...
ReplyDeleteI was busy using all of my brain! LOL ;-)
Oshi Shikigami Great things formulation, Oshi! And a very explaining one, too. ;-)
