About Traditions in Vorarlberg / Austria
In 2 weeks, after end of carnival, there will be the so called "Funkensonntag", celebrated on Saturday or Sundays. It's a sort of Bonfire to say goodbye to winter.
This is a picture of last year, where they had prepared the main firs for the coming celebration. For the fires, they also use recycled Christmas trees.
Location: Rhinebridge and Rhineforeland boarderzone, Rhine River, Koblach - Oberriet, Austria - Switzerland
