  1. That's a good photo of the lea flower.  May I ask your choice in the aperture of f/8?

  2. The flower is beautiful! If I may suggest, I'd rather move it aside from the center - it would made a stronger composition - I think!

  3. Askewed View Photographic Arts photos by Keith A. Russell f8 is the sweet spot of the lens with the most details. at 35mm and nearest distance the DOF is nearly perfect for objects of this size, one reason why I love it for closeups. when in auto-iso mode the 1/250s minimum speed results in resonable iso - here 160 in aperture priority when the light is as good as here. It was very windy and the bloom moved fast in all directions and even at 100% there is virtually no blur with this settings.

  4. Michael Mossiagin thank you. I though a while about where to put the main subjects position and decided here for only slight off center. don't know exactly why ;-) I prepared one from a second shoot which follows the rule of thirds :-)

  5. Robert Glöckner I did not mean to offer any rules precisely. It is usually a matter of your own feeling of harmony and composition. I felt that an additional movement aside would make the composition more solid. If you have another feeling, that is the right way to go. My advise is only offered for a case when you are unsure or hesitant.
