So I was playing around with my 50 mm asahi manual lens yesterday.
The funky looking light trails I created by just simply walking down the street and just randomly press the shutter without any presetting of the lens.
Tech specs: Asahi Super-Takumar 1:1.4/50 with a M42-M4/3 adapter on a Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3

Nice abstractness. :-)
ReplyDeleteOshi Shikigami thank you, it was interesting, not knowing what the shots would look like until i uploaded them to my ipad this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteA couple of these are real keepers, with the bold colors, smooth lines, and green slashes. Experiment worked Eathan Roehrig!
ReplyDeleteLiz MC, thank you very much...:)
ReplyDeleteVery cool. You should not have said that you were just "simply walking down the street and just randomly pressing the shutter speed" LOL in my uneducated opinion these images seem very well planned and setup ;)
ReplyDeleteMichael Mossiagin, there was absolutely no plan except for catching the trail while walking...
ReplyDeleteSometimes, only sometimes, the most astounding photos come, shall we say, by "accident". And you, have managed to find many that way! Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteHowever they were achieved, they are glorious! Take heart in that. You may not have such fortune the next time. But it is said, Edison tried over 100 different filaments, until he found one that worked, for a lightbulb. Good luck and great shooting! :-)
Oshi Shikigami that was exactly what i was aiming for...
