  1. This could be made into two different shots. Cropping the right side about 20% would get rid of the flair. and have a stronger composition. Or, just take the lower right side and emphasize the flair for a more art like photo.  :-)

  2. Oshi Shikigami :) The flair is intentional in this case. The highlights are overblown (my Panasonic point-n-shoot has this tendency) to the point, where it is difficult to fix, so I decided to over blow it even farther. I do have a variant, where the bush is not in the center but do not like it very much because of some strange reason. I posted this image because it was not good enough to be posted in a different category but I did feel that it still has its appeal...

  3. It does have an interesting appeal to it, I must admit.  This must have been the point when you were sneaking up on the free range boats.

  4. Askewed View Photographic Arts photos by Keith A. Russell You have got it. Pretty much. I was sitting there quietly, waiting for the boats to come close enough for me to shoot...

  5. Ah yes, were you wearing Nautica or Old Spice to mask your scent?

  6. You have to have a hunting permit to shoot feral boats?

  7. Oooo, Old Spice! My dad wore that. Whenever I smell it, I think of him.  :-)

  8. If you shoot the wrong one, do they hold a wake?

  9. I'm not sure, but I've heard that the young ones feed from their mother's rudder.

  10. well, guys, you do not expect me to tell you all my trade secrets don't you?  May be just a couple: you gotta smell naturally. Any artificial flavor will spook them out. The smell of snags works best. Besides that you have to look like a boat :)
