Nice composition and focus on the rocks, leaving some greenery on the right, good balance between the sky and ground, and the final pop of a wave coming in. Like Nicole H!
May or may not work, but using low setting "fill" flash, would bring a bit more brightness and "pop" to the foreground?
When I am not rushed shooting outside during the day, I consider using fill flash to make the subject stand out a bit from the background. It's also useful for opening up harsh shadows. If your camera allows it, set the flash at about 1-3 stops less light than the daylight exposure. You may want to try different levels and see what you like most.
When I do use fill flash, I always shoot some without any, as sometimes it does not help. And you only see that after editing.
