Hi olivier nelis ! Welcome to the community. It is very brave of you to place your very first post under "Scaffold" category ;) LOL, I'm just kidding. We are here to help each other by pointing out to potential enhancements points .
ReplyDeleteI have an impression that you tried straightening your image, possibly to fix barrel distortion or may be perspective distortion. As a result people on the sides of the image seem wide and short in my opinion (or may be these are just a bunch of short and bulky people ;)) A half woman in the right upper corner does not improve the composition. In my personal opinion this image would seem more appealing without people present in the frame. The keyboard pattern is well noticed and seems interesting indeed.
Welcome olivier nelis! Glad to have you posting to our friendly group.
ReplyDeleteThis is 'street photography' but with a very nice play of geometry. The shot is well exposed, and the contrast is fine too.
About the only thing, that I think might have made it better, would be to rotate it a few degrees to the right (clockwise) Hopefully to get all of the person on the extreme right. The flow of the picture would not have been compromised (too much).
I also like the way the flooring reflects just enough to give a good indication of its glossiness and hardness. That is a subtle but vital clue to help to visually contrast with the "soft" people. :-)
Thank you both, Michael Mossiagin and Oshi Shikigami for your comments!
ReplyDeleteMichael, you're right, I corrected the distortion of the image, the focal length was 16mm.
LOL, the French people are not short and fat like that! ;)
It was not easy to remove the lady on the right of the frame at this point but your point is very wise!
Oshi, you're right too, I'll try to do another picture from this place with no people on it( maybe take a gun for doing this...)! ;)
Thanks you both too to like the keyboard stuff. :)
olivier nelis you are very welcome!
