Can't say for this shot, but in my experience, they can hang like that for a while. But, I don't think they really enjoy it for long. They love climbing, and sometimes don't quite get it right. :-)
thijs gerhardus, you are absolutely correct! I would never "pose" an animal in any position that they would be uncomfortable in!
And speaking of that, there are many who unknowingly do just that, by having their lizard 'pose' by sitting up like in a chair, or on their backs.
The is very bad for the lizard. Unlike humans, lizards do not have a diaphragm in their chest to assist in breathing. When in those positions, it is difficult or impossible to breath!
As they do not constantly breath, they may not struggle to change position, at least not right away. But it will start to suffocate them, they could even die. But as they do not panic, it may get to causing damage, before they try and right themselves.
was it just a brief catch or it (he/she) can hang like that for a long time?
