Hello all,
One of the first landscape images made during our recent camping trip to Banga Nek here in SA.
Before making this one I was standing alone on an incredible stretch of beach watching a lightning storm out over the Indian Ocean. The strikes were so far out I didn't even hear thunder! An absolutely surreal experience :)
Lovely colors and mood. :-)
ReplyDeletethe feeling is very successfully translated in the picture and you intro completes it beautifully. Very impressive work Dylan van Graan!
ReplyDeleteOshi Shikigami thank you very much, glad you like it :)
ReplyDeleteMichael Mossiagin thank you very much. Funny thing is I seem to feel that something is missing though?
ReplyDeleteDylan van Graan I feel the composition is just right. Absence of people and other destructive objects create a power feeling of natural forces being released...
ReplyDeleteThe lighting is outstanding.
That is it exactly. It is a perfect "lonely" shot, as something indefinable is missing. I love it's powerful presentation of just that.
ReplyDeleteMichael Mossiagin thank you very much, your comments are very well received ;) One of my photographic goals this year was to improve my composition.
ReplyDeleteOshi Shikigami thank you very much, funny how an image becomes more than the sum of its parts?
