Pauli PPariah thank you! If you look at the center of the frame, you will see some artifacts on the side of the building. That's because I took this shot through the window :( . I am yet to find a way to fix this kind of issues.
Michael Mossiagin Yes, I see what you mean. Would a polarizing filter help? It didn't, & doesn't distract me from the beauty of this photo (now, the woodpecker was seriously distracting for a second or two).
Wonderful shimmers off the snow (I will not mention the woodpecker!)

I really like the shot, with the woodpecker too! Adds real foreground depth and a little irony to the shot.
