Quite some time ago, i created this picture for a competition. I'ts a multi exposure of 2 pictures. If you have a closer look, you can see snowy mountains. In German i call this "Rückbesinnung" and i hope the English word "recollection" is an adequate translation for what i wanted to express. (Some thoughts to Buddhism below, for the ones who are interested)
#inspirational   #spiritual    picture1)

I was brought up with Catholic Religion (if one can call it that way..) I am free of any Religion since 30 years.
I can recognize sense in Buddhism, but i don't have to be a Buddhist or join, to find it a good way.
What i personally am seeking for is for consciousness in own responsibility for more understanding, peace and mutual caring.

Found some thoughts/meanings about Buddhism:

"In the beginning what fascinated me about Buddhism is that it acknowledges and gave me the understanding of the supernatural existence of the inanimate..

Then I discovered that in Buddhism there is no such as a one God saviour and indirectly it is saying that you are your "God" or rather you are responsible for you. That opened up a whole lot of possibilities and a whole lot of acceptance of the situation that surrounds me.

What I like about Buddhism is that it does not expect me to have blind faith and allows me to question the validity of the doctrine until I am convinced. Buddhist doctrine convinces me with its logical explanation that gives me no room to refute its validity.  It makes me accept its teaching based on logic and not out of threat or fear that if I do not adhere to it, I am doomed to hell.

What draws me to Buddhism is that it is a study of the true nature of mind, my mind. Buddhism directs me to focus on understanding and truly knowing my mind,. Once i know that my mind is the creator of all my experiences, then I can work on it to 'shape' it to overcome all suffering ,problems and obstacles and to create a mind that directs itself towards peace and happiness.

  1. Great work! A dual exposure gives this image a mysterious and look. A little I know about Bddhism tells me that in a core it was a philosophy rather than a religious belief but - most likely - all religions are like this.

  2. Michael Mossiagin yes that is true, it's more a philosophy, that is also, why i can find more answers than in Religions  :-)
i am glad, that you like the dual exposure, ah so i could better call it like that instead of my complicated way to say it. Sorry, but in English i am missing a lot of vocabulary.
