  7. Oshi Shikigami I was afraid you will criticize the way I compiled the food. :)

  8. Igor Rybnikov,  It is a very clean and delicious delivery of visual food stimulation. It looks very inviting with the colors and shapes, including classical touches like the splash of colors of the fish and stuff. Excellent "plating".No complaints from me Lighting contrast is 100% perfect!

  10. Oh and to the questions about me and sea food.

Two comments. One, is I have some allergies, and it can be difficult to be sure I do not get one of these, in restaurant dishes.

And, two, is there just is not a great selection of sea food available to me, which I can eat. And what I can find is very expensive. Add to this with not really liking lobster, and it leaves very little.

But I do have it on rare occasions. I will try and get some more photos. That is besides 'fish and chips' which I can get, and love!  LOL

  11. Oshi Shikigami Thank you for the explanation. Simply I was sure that you are a specialist on the Japanese Kitchen and wasn't sure if the pieces of food that I put on my plate match each other from your point of you. :)

  12. Well, any rigid rules and expectations are more preserved for tea ceremonies, as opposed to meals production. What I have noted with contemporary food prep and presentation, it is a bonus to have some "surprises" with the presentation of the meal.

Some unexpected or rare food is a plus, but also novel display of the food is a plus. Any family member is happy with hotdogs, if they are cut up to look like a squid, or other creature. Mixing foods to accomplish a scene or special critter, even an anime character is super well taken. So mom, tends to pack creative bentos for lunch, and see what is new in styling a dinner meal.  :-)

  13. Oshi Shikigami Well my wife is sometimes very creative when feeding our grandsons, though they don't suffer from the lack of appetite! :))
