As requested, by Matthew Woodall, this is the setup I used to take the photo just published here. It's the Leica M8, Komura 2X extender and the 135 mm lens. The viewfinder sits in the hotshoe.
Note the "goggles" of the lens are tilted rotationally. This allows focusing, with the extender mounted.
Cool
ReplyDeleteWow ! ..that is an amazing camera and setup Oshi. Very impressive. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's bulky and kinda a kludge. But it works. Best to use tripod and stop down a couple stops though.
ReplyDeleteThey made those cameras with real metal..lol..mine looks like plastic compared to that one. Even the lenses are very nice and look heavy. :-)
ReplyDeleteTrue enough. Solid metal, virtually no plastic. And machined to fine tolerances, not just gobs of grease. And of course the lenses are designed with aspherics high dispersion, floating element, or whatever it takes to get the sharpest image possible.
ReplyDeleteWicked... ;)
ReplyDeleteso.. we recently hit the lotto? ;)
Just found stuff for way less than you usually pay! Both were about 200. I did not, could not hesitate! LOL
