"Black Water Swamp"

"Black Water Swamp"

#abstractart   #digitalart

This is one that I did from when I first got Photoshop about 3 years ago, and was just experimenting with a photo that took with my Canon camera at the time. I had typed out something at the bottom of it about being abstract, if I remember right. But I can't wait to get back on my computer where I have Photoshop, especially since I just bought a new Fujifilm camera. Here on my mother's computer, there's very little opportunity with photo work, with either doing very abstract work, or just plain photo editing.

  1. It looks to be what was incorrectly called "solarization", in the day. Nor is it Sabetia process, it is actually density slicing. And a digital effect, that is now fairly easy to achieve.

  2. Yep, fairly easy to achieve with Photoshop, but, like with any medium, every piece speaks for itself. Just about every effect these days can be achieved with Photoshop, even on an iPhone. But obtaining the colors that you want for example, can be difficult to achieve, or at least time consuming to get exactly the right tone that your wanting. And like it is using liquid paints, no two paintings, especially abstracts, are the same.   :-)
