This is a 'thought problem'. No, it never going to be -Real - It is just for fun to think about...
You are given a roll of film. You are told it was the last roll of film, ever for the whole world. (No digital either!) You, and you alone can shoot it. None can ever say you chose wrongly, or poorly. But you must shoot this roll of film. (36 Exp.) You alone must choose every shot, compose, and take the photo. You will be given any camera, lens, and whatever you choose to shoot it with. Anything that exists today. You can choose color or black and white. You alone must shoot it entirely within the next month a the latest.
So, what would you choose? I am primarily interested in the subject(s) you choose. However would love to hear other comments on film type, equipment, or whatever you think would be important, to be involved with the Last Roll of Film Ever!
I really like this photo of you Oshi. Your smile is very nice and happy, and that I like. :-) As far as your question, that is a tuffy. I would definitely want to take my time, a lot more than a month, to shoot the last roll of film on earth..lol. :-)
ReplyDeleteJust wanted to add this:
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate any, and all comments here! This is a place express your opinion, your feelings. No right or wrong here. I am glad for each post, and love reading them. However, I do not wish to 'influence' one's thoughts or comments. So I acknowledge your posts, but will not respond to all. But I am happy to see them all. :-)
Hi Oshi Shikigami . I'm really not a "film type guy", so my comments may not be very suitable. I can understand passion for a film camera, the discipline and knowledge it requires. It is just not me. I started shooting much more (my first three or four cameras were not digital - of course) and learning more about photography after the digital came.
ReplyDeleteLittle by little I gained my experience and today probably spent more or less the same time composing and editing my photos now as I would have had if I mastered the film but the ability to see take a peek at the immediate result is very important to me. Would I shoot film now if I need to? Sure, why not? i would wipe a dust out of my grand fathers' SLR (I think he got it in early fifties, it had farely good optics. I do not really see how much - on a principal - film cameras have evolved since then (but that may be just because I do not know enough about it).
yes, very difficult question..... I would think of this task as this was the last chance to shoot photographs as well(no more cameras in the world, I have the last one), then maybe it will be less difficult to choose, or maybe not.
ReplyDeleteI would start with taking photos of my close family and friends, in a situation that describe them best... then I guess... flowers ,and landscapes I like.... but I guess I would need more than one roll of film for that... :):):)
sorry old thread..... but I just found it :)
ReplyDeleteGuðbjörg Ben, no problem. Glad to hear your input. And thanks. :-)
