One more thing...

One more thing...

it has been a while since our last challenge.... The contest formats we used in past were not ideal: people lost interest. If you are up for a new game, we can create something fresh and new. I'm looking for new ideas. Please advise.

  1. I would like to see something done. Not sure I can come up with new ideas, though? :-)

  2. A new focus is always welcome. What is your newest interest? Or maybe "Water" which is open to most geographical areas?

  3. Well... I was thinking of how to improve my photography and did the following: 1) downgraded my camera (I bought an old Canon 5D) 2) sold a few EF-S lenses and bought a number of inexpensive primes for EF mount I think using only prime lenses make change my perspective and force me to find new angles and move more around... I was also always interested how differently will my lenses behave on a full frame? It may take some getting used to, plus the controls of 5D are very different from my cropped camera. I am still waiting for the lenses to arrive though... So, I guess, using prime lenses is my new thing (I had a few before but I have never used primes exclusively)

  4. Michael Mossiagin Wow, you have set yourself a great learning challenge. And the 5D, I have never had a camera before that saw what I saw! Great choice

  5. There was a couple years where I shot with two F-2s and a 28 and 85 f-2.0 lenses exclusively. A very creative time for me. :-)

  6. So what do you think of a fixed lens challenge?

  7. I think it would be lovely. However, consider that negates some who have point and shoot, or just zooms?

  8. Michael Mossiagin Good idea (but I don't run to a prime lens yet, so I'd be out)

  9. Pauli PPariah the lens does not have to be prime exactly... If I may suggest, look at the pictures you took over several months... Most likely you will discover that you have one or a few "favorite" focus distances. Lock you lens on one of these and do not zoom, find your subject and compose your scene... Done!

  10. Michael Mossiagin Yep, I can do that, thanks
