Well it depends...., i had experimented some extreme situations some years ago, when i put my poems online, only for "friends" till a good friend of me found out, recognizing one of my poems and that one of them only did one thing: copy, paste and save for later on selling mine and other texts in a book. He sold tons of them and earned a lot of money. In my country this is a 'grey-zone' still. I would have had to proof the sum of amount lost, that means, that you can claim only, when you have already had earnings, which i had not. The price for getting angry and throwing out some people was, that i got hacked massivlely and that bad, that i had to delete just everything, my website, ALL of my contacts of years, just for the matter of safety.
Honestly, here i hardly ever make researches, i don't mind any more, because i had suffered of such things over years. I just couldn't believe, how bad people behave in internet generally.
My personal meaning is, that it's no compliment, just taking without even asking or giving credit, but it's done a million of times a day everywhere in the net.
Naturpunkt by Gina M. I know what you are talking about too well Gina. Actually I don't search the net who copied what. Someone sent me the link to this matter. They just let me know. I saw that all her followers are complimenting her artwork. 45 comments. She is probably a digital graphic "artist"... I am not the only person No need to get angry. I agree. I have better things to do in life that spend my energies on negativity. Sad to hear about your situation.
I remember many users (......) who let themselves applaude for copied or stolen works, hate it really. As we can't see behind them, who knows why they have to do it... Actually i started with photography precisely because i didn't want to use photos of other people. Since i'm on G+ i had no serious problems and i am so grateful for that! Well, i don't know, what i would do if a situation which i saw here happened to me. He is a photographer with 40.000 Followers and over months his pictures were stolen by a user, who had even more followers. Everything was reported several times to G+, they didn't do anything! The abusing one had even stolen his personal profile picture, just incredible...
Yes, let's focus on the good, there's too much bad anyway.
Naturpunkt by Gina M. There are actual G+ groups who are policing other people on this issue. I have no time to police people. I prefere creating instead.
