Let's Dance... Hurray it is summer. From yesterday's session with 7 weeks old playful cameleion... Who says you can't direct critters. www.herabell.com
I direct my critters, every time I photograph them! Some are not responsive much, even though they hear. But most all, they hear, comprehend, and to some extent follow. Of course if you tell them to do something they really do not want to do, they are less likely to comply.
But with lizards, cats and dog, at the least, they are smart and complaint. If what you ask is reasonable in their perspective. With the dragons, I find them to even anticipate commands, if you work with them long enough. They try their own poses for me, to shoot.
Even if I don't think the pose is 'good' I will shoot anyway. As sometimes they are right! :-)
Cham's are such great entertainers! I could watch and chuckle for hours, as they play branches and leaves in the wind. And seem to have a very child like innocent quality to exploring their universe. :-)
Nothing like early education!

Oshi Shikigami the baby cameleon loved following its owner's fingers.
