#urban *Contest Winners*
It was a very tough decision! All of the entries were great. I debated all day between 6 that I thought were all standout shots. I didn't set out only looking for monochrome but in the end, the three that stood out to me all happened to be. Again, these were all great shots! Thanks to all that participated!
1st Place:
Bart Kpx: Streets of Istanbul
I love the composition of this shot. It's technically a great shot to me. The portrait works great with the natural layout of this street and with the vignette, my eyes are drawn right down the middle of it. And this is such a great street scene! The sign with COLOR on it is a great touch as well. Nice work and congrats Bart Kpx!
2nd Place:
Bartosz Wiatrak: #urban

Another nicely composed shot. The shape of the train tunnel naturally pulls my eyes right down the middle. I'm also a sucker for low, up-shots and I think the long exposure gives a great look. Nice work Bartosz Wiatrak!
3rd Place (this was a tough call):
Kevin Vincent: #urban

I really like the composition of this shot. The window frames create such great lines everywhere! I really like the effect that the high ISO gives this. Really nice shot Kevin Vincent!
There were three others that made this a tough call for me personally. I could have swapped any of them with any of these. They are all outstanding shots. I enjoyed them all. Thanks again to everyone that participated!

ReplyDeleteThanks David. :-) I appreciate you saying that. :-) I'm really just limited in being able to be more versatile like I would like to be. I'm blessed if I can get a bus to Auburn, Al. just 7 miles away, a little college town..lol..hehe ! :-)
