Just having a cold beer and small lunch before I depart to the airport. Good bye Paris you are both beautiful and a gracious host.
Farewell too, to Springbok Air DC3. This was taken during her last display in South African skies as she was sold to a German collector and will be leaving South African shores.
As a child, I rode on DC-3 passenger planes. The let me go up front, and talk to the pilots. :-)

ReplyDeleteIt was fantastic! On one flight I got to actually sit in the copilot's chair and "fly" it. They would always give me 'wings pins' from the airline. Fantastic.

ReplyDeleteAnd sadly that is all they will be, memories. And none of the younglings of today will ever experience the thrill, and catch fire with aspirations. Those days were long ago taken from us, along with the innocence of the sky.
Aaaaa, who knows Oshi Shikigami. Maybe they would never need to experience lost luggage as I am doing at the moment 😡
