CSCL Globe - The World's Largest Ship in Hamburg (January 2015)
With a length of 400m, a beam of about 60m and a capacity of 19,100 TEU (suitable for up to 190 million iPads) the CSCL Globe currently is the largest ship in the world. 60 meters longer than the largest aircraft carrier ever built and about 50 meters longer than the world's largest cruise ship, "Quantum of the Seas". The Globe was constructed by Hyundai Heavy Industries and is owned & operated by China Shipping Container Lines. The ship left Shanghai early December 2014 for her maiden voyage and has made a stopover in Hamburg. By the way: the Globe will be at the industry's pole position only for a very short period of time given that the even larger "MSC Oscar" was inaugurated a couple of days ago...

That is almost incomprehensibly large. I would like to know how these ships stop the containers from falling off in rough seas.
