Your critical input is welcome! I am having mixed success editing landscapes shoot in foggy and hazy conditions. Any tips would be very appreciated.

  1. I think more foreground interest would have helped and it would have narrowed the blank expanse of grey at the top. I would also suggest cropping the foliage at the right as it seems to come from nowhere (no 'grounding' to the scene). I think mono would be very effective in this shot, with maybe up to a stop over exposure.

  2. Tony Tulloch Thank you Tony. The right side of the picture bothered me as well. I just did not want to crop the picture too much - because it would affect the overall resolution directly. To keep the composition in proportion I would need to cut from the left as well... I really like the sharpness of the fixed length 28 mm lens but zoom lenses have a huge advantage in some situations. Oh, well. I purposely downgraded the pixel count and picked the prime lens to force myself composing more carefully.... It does not always work well unfortunately.

  3. thijs gerhardus do you imply that my photo is not exposed properly? I do measure my exposure for the highlights occasionally but it was not needed in this particular example in my opinion... I do not remember having a clipping issue with this photo.
