It has been quite a while since I have posted any of my artwork here. This painting was inspired by a series of photos I did for a portrait, of a character, or 'Avatar,' who resides within the grids of Second Life, in the clouds of the world wide web.
Photos can be a great incentive, and reference for accuracy when painting. And like in this case, for times when a "in person" painting reference is not possible!
My just finished portrait in oils, and stretched canvas, 11x14"
Miko *Botan, Shinto priestess, shaman of unseen life.
