I think these fabrics can be a wonderful subject but I would probably try different point of view ... I'm not quite sure what's wrong with this composition? May be it is the disturbing background? I think if you use a longer focal length, the isolation would be much better and you will be able to concentrate viewers's attention on part of the picture, inviting more interest into intricate designs and bright colors.... Just an idea.

normaly i play while postprocessing - in this case it*s the original Foto,
frank wibberg and thank you for posting it unprocessed. It is very difficult sometimes to undo the processing mentally to see the original photo.
