I find with the 1/1.7 sensor I get a lot of noise if I push past 400. As you can see I shot this at 800 and there is considerable noise. However it's better to have noise and capture the shot at the right shutter speed (in my opinion). I hope someday soon to upgrade past a compact camera :)

ReplyDeleteThank you Michael. It was a spontaneous shot and I took it because of the light falling on her face. Had to boost the ISO since indoors.
ReplyDeleteDavid V ISO 400 is not considered a "boost" our days as most of the modern cameras handle these values well enough. Beautiful capture!

David V, your'e correct, analog or digital, it is equally true. So many refuse to 'dial-up' and end up with sharp, but poorly focused shots that way.
